I luckily was paired w a couple of great guys. I started on the whites and birdied the first hole. The guys that I played w gave me a little crap, so I moved to blues, for the rest of the round. I wish I would have stuck to whites! I’m 54 and don’t hit as far as the young ones. Course was in great shape. Greens were rolling nice. I’d play again!

My group has traveled from Pittsburgh for the last 18 years and we have been playing Emerald Hills for at least 10 years in a row. This is among the most expensive that we play, but we feel that it's still a good value. The layout is really good and the conditions were as well. We will continue to book a round here in the future.

Green complexes were very difficult, fairways were not pristine, greens were bumpy and extremely undulated. But worst of all pace of play it was a Saturday, spring break, Out of town groups but it took us five hours and 15 minutes to play. Bottom line, exasperating! We have found other places in the area to play for the same value better pace of play and much better conditions.

How long a round takes is only one facet of pace of play. It’s difficult to get into a rhythm when as a two behind a five some who are behind another twosome and in front of them a foursome backing up the course. This is one example of the many that make getting into a good rythym difficult at this very challenging golf course. They need to manage the first tee better and patrol the course to enforce pace of play and a semblance of order with tee time spacing.

Wow. Kicked my butt. Course in great shape with exception of a few tee boxes, but otherwise impeccable. Staff friendly. If there is any wind, good luck... lots of challenges off the tee and on approach. Course plays LONG. The greens are deceptively quick with moderate undulation. Everything you can want in a Florida golf course: palm trees, water, birds, and green grass.

Nice layout, greens in nice shape (though recently sanded - but plenty fast & true), fairways taking shape too. Enjoy playing it each time I’m in town. Great lunch afterwards in bar area too. More difficult layout than one would think

I enjoyed my round at EH. Most of the staff were polite, especially the guys in the pro shop. To me, the most important part of a course are it’s conditions. Here, I thought EH was good. But, frankly from reading some of the other reviews I expected Doral level conditions and that wasn’t the case. For a public track, however, the conditions were good. The layout is interesting and definitely makes you think—especially the further back you decide tee off. I definitely recommend this course for a hotdeal or a twilight round, and even a full price round if you have to get out before the discounted times.

Course conditions are decent, nothing mind blowing. I walked in to the clubhouse before the round and it was pretty impress. Unfortunately this was the highlight and it went down from here. I figured I was in for a great round. I was in the area for a guys golf trip and this course was the last course we played.

For the money it is decent, but if you are looking for good golf spend your money elsewhere. This is a golf course that was probably a great course 20 years ago, but it has seen better days. There are run down homes on the golf course and course conditions are average at best.

Pace of play was absolutely abysmal. I apologized to the group behind us, and they informed us that this was pretty normal for this course so we didn’t need to apologize to them for the hold up. Every other course we played was determined to get you off in 4 - 4.5 hrs whereas this course was lucky to get us off in 5 only due to the fact that the sun was setting.

The course has some decent holes and they bill themselves as the longest course in Florida. That much is true. I am single digit golfer and there really wasn’t much that was memorable about this course. I don’t expect everything golf course to be challenging, but this course was neither challenging, memorable or enjoyable. I would be hard pressed to play this course again. Our group could not wait to get off this course.

Realistically I would give this course a 2.5

Very long and tough course. High slope and course rating. Played blue tees on a windy day which made it play longer and tougher. If you can’t hit it 230+ off tee most golfers will have enough course from member tees. Greens were very slow but I’m told they’re generally faster. Played in 4 hrs but starter tried to squeeze in a 2-some ( members) on back 9 where there was no gap. Not right. Good bar and food.

Good layout and no less than 8 different tees making this a course for both beginners and scrtch players. Fairly open with water into play at approx 10 holes, not much bunkers. Undulated and tricky greens (which were dressed on the day of play, so speed was on the slow and uneven side). Some wildlife adding interest - plenty iguanas, birds and squirrels. Quite pricey perhaps, but an enjoyable round of golf nevertheless.
