The three golf courses are played in three separate combos, with the Royal/Sabal coming in at a robust 6,847 yards from the gold tees. The golf course traverses across a landscape of tropical foliage and thick palms, providing both a challenge and a reminder of what south Florida golf has to offer. The Royal/Sabal shines with player-friendly fairways and generous greens.

My Son and I played here Friday. It was nice coming in with the greetings from the friendly staff. Check in was a breeze, we were off to the range. Hit a small bucket and then off to the first tee. Course is in much better shape this year. Most of the fairways are in good shape. Some of the rough was a bit sparse and didn't hang the ball up much at all. Greens all took the ball really well. Only other complaint was the GPS. I would have liked for them to have the yardages. Some holes are a bit tricky for distance but that just added to the challenge. Would have been nice for a beverage cart as well.

This course is one of the word ones I’ve played. The cart paths where all dangled and/or with sand, without any repair. The fairways looked more like any other thing, besides a fairway. The greens where all patched up, horrible experience. Would not recommend.

As with so many tracks and golf resorts in Broward County, Grand Palms - a 27-hole course that snakes around and through a residential sprawl - is a shell of its former self. There was no clubhouse, the golf-related buildings were run-down and empty, and service at the makeshift eatery was slow and apathetic. On the course, there was no beverage cart service as our foursome ground our way through the tough Royal course and the more forgiving Sabal course. Still, Grand Palms is an entertaining course that remains a very popular winter golf stop. Though the fairways were often very thin and the bunker divots were abundant, the greens were in good condition, running a bit fast on the Royal and a bit slow on the Sabal. The Royal layout was bumpy and narrow with sneaky water locations that demanded discipline course management, while the Sabal was more flat and wider with less water. And for a busy, sun-soaked Saturday afternoon, the pace of play was crisp, for the most part. The pro shop staff and starter were polite and professional. Would recommend a May visit when course has had a chance to recover from heavy play.

Pro-shop friendly; range balls / carts seemed disorganized.

Played in pm as single and staff recommended Royal/Sabal.

Greens fine but rest of course ‘rough’

Interesting array of par 3s; par 5s straightfoward

but some strong par 4s

Greenside sand on Sabal very good.

Nice course, lots of potential. Great location! They need to invest in the hotel, clubhouse and restaurant. This place with some investment can fetch $100 plus a round like plantation preserve did.

I really liked the set up because they have three 9 hole courses so it's like having 6 different courses to choose from. Each course is different but they all have a lot of dog legs. There are several par 4's where you won't use a driver because of the length and how narrow they are. Although I couldn't reach any of the par 5's in two, I always had a wedge for my third shot. Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and greens are in good shape. Greens don't break as much as they read, The only thing I didn't like was that they keep the rake in the cart and people forget to pull it out of the cart for their bunker shot so you'll find some un raked bunkers.

Really, really nice staff. BBQ on weekends. Pace of play was great
